Yes, we know… The pandemic has affected all local businesses on Madeira and many people are struggling financially. But unfortunately, a deadly disease does not ask about whether the timing is convenient or not…

Invest in your business & help us save sick Hania!

If you were thinking about finding a Polish translator to translate your Portuguese/English website, brochure, signs, or a restaurant menu into Polish, now is the right time. We will do it for you, in exchange for a charity donation. All donations (100%) collected in this auction will support a fund created save little Hania, a child diagnosed with the most severe form of SMA – a fatal muscle disease. More about her below.

How does it work?

We will donate our time, in exchange for your monetary donation, paid directly via the official fund’s website.

Send an e-mail to info@sayyestomadeira.com with your offer. Specify what needs to be translated and the maximum price you are willing to donate. This will be your official bid.
The auction ends on Wednesday – July 8th, 2020 at 6pm Madeira Time. Winners will be announced on July 9th.
After the deadline, all bids will be collected and the 3 highest offers will be chosen.
All participants will be informed about the outcome by e-mail and announced on our social media. The 3 winners will later be mentioned on our blog with a link to their site and a thank you note informing Polish readers that this company’s site/brochure/menu etc. is available in Polish.
The 3 winners will then be requested to go to the charity’s official website and make a payment, adding their company name in the subject line.
Once the donation is made, we will get to work!
We will try to deliver your translation asap, but no later than a month after a donation.

The text should not exceed 2 pages, font-size 12px. (… buuut for a great bid we will make a small exception!) Please show your generosity when bidding – little Hania is counting on us!

The translation will be done by a Polish-native speaker with the assistance of a Portuguese native speaker from Madeira Island. We reserve the right to reject any “questionable texts” or complex, technical assignments that require a specialized translation.

Who are you helping?

Your donation will go to little Hania, an 8 months old girl diagnosed with the most severe form of SMA – a fatal muscle disease. She needs an extremely expensive treatment and the therapy can be carried out only up to the age of 2. The sooner we stop the disease, the better.

Why have we decided to help Hania? Except for the fact that her family comes from my home town in Poland, and we are absolutely sure the money will be well spent, we feel very much about the hopeless situation her parents are in. They were very unlucky with the timing and the recent pandemic canceled many of the charity events planned. Without big-size charity events, it is much harder to collect the necessary amount fast and Hania does not have much time left!

Como funciona?

1. Envie um email para info@sayyestomadeira.com com a sua oferta. Especifique o que precisa ser traduzido e o preço máximo que deseja doar. Esta será a sua licitação oficial.

2. O leilão começa hoje e termina na quarta-feira – 8 de Julho de 2020 às 18:00, horário da Madeira. Os vencedores serão anunciados no dia 9 de Julho.

3. Após a data limite, as 3 melhores ofertas serão escolhidas.

4.Todos os participantes serão informados sobre o resultado por e-mail e anunciados nas nossas redes sociais. Mais tarde, os três vencedores serão mencionados no nosso blog com um link e uma nota de agradecimento informando aos leitores Polacos que o site / folheto / menu da empresa, etc. está disponível em Polaco.

5. Os 3 vencedores serão solicitados a ir ao site oficial e efetuar um pagamento direto, adicionando o nome da empresa.

6. Assim que a doação for feita, começaremos a trabalhar!

7. Vamos tentar entregar a sua tradução o mais rápido possível, o mais tardar um mês após a sua doação.
